Winter on the plains.

Monday Afternoon

I started on a new painting last week and am quite excited to get started again. Generally I take photo's and choose what I would like to start on from them. This time I got and idea I wanted to draw a local tree, hedge apple, and looked on horticultural sites,I found a perfect picture and it was open for reproduction according to the photographer. Hurray! So now it is going good and looking forward to finishing it.

Day before Halloween

Today is the day before Halloween, here in Kansas the children go door to door dressed in all kinds of costumes and the householders offer candy to them as the children yell "Trick or Treats". It is so fun and every one gets into a giddy mood. Many parties are given during this week, adults and children. I will carve my pumpkins today in anticipation of tomorrow.
