The relief

Initially there is an idea – global – just shaped and still open to a future precision.
The idea of a glance piercing the surface, seeing the beauty which is always there, even if hidden, and often unrecognized.

Some pieces of fabric, yarn, objects are placed on a white background: a first structure, the relief appears.

The fingers bend the fabric, follow imagination.
When the background leaves it’s virginity the gaze is focusing, comes closer, seeking depth, waiting for an adjustment on a light , paving it’s path.

The forms guide the brush, colors appear
with even shyness, in attention not to destroy this fragile reality.

Gradually, the eyes then settle in a world that
is always there, even if hidden, and often unrecognized.
