It's a very young site, not so many members yet, but growing. Usually it takes sites like this one 3 or 4 years to really get busy.

Thanks for the questions. People who normally ask such question should be an active participant, are you?

Just sharing my views on site like this why seems quiet. There are several reasons to your question, I hope you would realize:
- It could be most artists here are either very busy after uploading their profiles or very lazy to return to check out what is going on with members and activities on MyGallery.
- it could be like the old saying; artists are normally not incline to IT stuff and not good in writing or talk less, this group of artists generally believe that they communicate and express through their works/paintings/sculpture.....
- some want to let their work speak for itself, and prefer to be silent type.....
- some wait till they received a comment on their work, then will return to the site to read and respond if needed.....
- some seems to forget they have joined the site, especially the site and members which are very much inactive..... it is a good idea to know more members and better if they become friends, that helps to communicate via the site more frequently.
- In the modern days artists are different, this modern artists and comtemporary/visual artists are thinkers. not just painters. The title painter does not seem to appopriate for this silent artists. They are able to explain and write about their own works, probably that has to do with their formal training in 21st century in art Uni. etc. Some artists are very articulated, able to speak very well about their works, know how to justify their own works, some even know how to read other works, have the mind like curators and art historians, of course, not many artists are having multi- talents. I think artists or people who have more than one talent are extremely lucky people on earth.
- some have some difficulty to access to internet, they might use friends/relative/library's computer to access internet once a week or at a longer interval .....
- some have nothing to comment or no good comment to offer, so chose to remain quiet .....
- also it has to do with personal preference on the works and topics on the site...... to draw the members to take part......

The list would go on .... hope some quiet members here will take your question as a reminder to return to the site more often after they have read it, even better if your question can turn some from non-active participants to active participants.
