I worked many years in pastel on paper, now I like to alternate pastel with oil on canvas. I love to draw or paint animals. After the experience of drawing the human body working on the animal body is very interesting and inspiring to me.
Nevertheless, your art works, especially the first few paintings of your slide show, where you have "plasticized" and elongated the human form transforms strict realistic depiction into an emotional expression, makes me feel to draw the figure again.
very good!
Thanks for welcoming me here. I don't call myself a multi media artist. Sometimes I use multi media techniques for expressing myself, it depends on what I want to express. Most of my work are oils.
I would like to be a member of IGC.
Could you send me a link to hansmertens@versatel.nl so I can upload my works?
Thank you in advance and best regards from Holland,
Hans Mertens

If any of you like my sincere comments for your works, I have created a group called International Group Critics (IGC), please join as members and post your works there for members of IGC to give you their comments. Those of you who are not critics but like to give comments are welcome to join the group.
Thanks for checking out my profile. I have created a few groups, namely: mininimalists, realists/naturalists, impressionists, etc due to writing space constraits on the description column for each group. I extend my invite here; please check on those groups and see where your works belong to, and join the group, you are welcome to join more than one group if you create a various styles of your works. That helps visitors to identity the style they like quickly, I'm sure it has a benefit to both you as an artist and visitors. Also, it catters to busy people who has a very short time to check out their preferred style by heading straight to that particular group whitout having to go through one profile after another.
Please do post me any questions you have in mind.
Cheers,
poh lai
